Since W.M.Walmsley tossed the concept of up close images in 1899, photographers have been showing their skills with jaw dropping images which cannot be seen by naked eyes. Macro photography is the art of taking extreme close up pictures that reveal details which can’t be seen by naked eyes. In technical terms, the subject or sensor should be lifesize or greater. A challenging and absorbing activity, to click the macro image, one has to reach into ‘near space’ and record an image that is not easily visible to the naked eye. Macro photographers give us a glimpse into the world of the very small, which goes largely unnoticed by us as we hurriedly shuffle through our mundane, day-to-day activities.
